UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, debuts his new video series, “Campus Spotlight,” today in an episode discussing student-related issues with Phil Covington, EdD, associate vice chancellor for student success, as well as student leaders.
“I view students, student leaders in particular, as our partners,” Dr. Davies says in the video, adding that by getting involved, students can make a difference at UNMC that will last for generations.

The pair highlight Dr. Covington’s recent recognition by the NASPA Foundation, a national organization for student affairs professionals, and Dr. Covington shares his philosophy and goals for his own mission in helping UNMC students succeed and thrive at UNMC and beyond.
The occasional series, which will be posted on the UNMC YouTube Channel, will feature Dr. Davies talking with members of the UNMC community about various issues and projects.
“My goal is to provide a platform for members of the community to showcase their efforts and successes, as well as to learn more about their own goals and dreams,” Dr. Davies said. “Campus Spotlight will give me a chance to share, with the UNMC community and beyond, the great work and amazing people we have at UNMC.”
