Lace up those skate and grab a buddy because skating is free for the remainder of the season.
The UNMC Ice Rink is offering free skating for everyone – the general public along with the med center and University of Nebraska community – now through the remainder of the winter season. The rink closes on Feb. 16.
Skating hours are:
- Mondays and Thursdays: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Fridays and Saturdays: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
- Sundays: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
Check weather closures by going to Facebook or by calling 402-559-0697. Free parking is available in Lot 15S, surface lot on 40th street between Dewey & Emile Streets), located on the south and east sides of the Student Life Center.
Skaters may bring food and beverages; no concessions are available on site. Alcohol is not allowed. For more information about the ice rink, check the rink’s webpage.
