Cindy Plate, administrative and faculty support supervisor in the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases, will retire on Monday, Feb. 3, after 24 years with UNMC.
Plate began her UNMC career at the UNMC College of Nursing in 2000 and joined the Eppley Institute in 2005, where her roles have included providing and overseeing administrative support for the Eppley Institute’s researchers, administrator of the Specialized Program of Research Excellence in Pancreatic Cancer led by Tony Hollingsworth, PhD, and coordination of the overall Eppley Institute’s grant preparation and submission process.
All are invited to a reception celebrating Plate’s retirement from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, Room BCC 0.12.103, on the ground level.
It has been an honor and a pleasure ro work with Cindy for more than 17 years. I wish her a wonderful time in retirement.

You have been instrumental to the success of countless projects, students, and staff at UNMC. Most importantly, you’ve made a tremendously positive impact at Eppley and our battle against cancer.
