Bradley Britigan, MD, dean of the UNMC College of Medicine, has announced the search committee for the new chair of internal medicine.
Debra Romberger, MD, who has been the chair since 2015, announced recently that she would be leaving the position to take a new role in the dean’s office.
“The chair of the UNMC Department of Internal Medicine, the largest department in the college, is a key position, and we expect it to attract the interest of medical leaders across the country,” Dr. Britigan said. “This committee is tasked with identifying the leader we need, and the members bring a wide range of experience and insight to this important role.”
The committee will be chaired by Joseph Khoury, MD, professor and chair of the UNMC Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology.
