Caring for Veterans Lunch & Learn
At a Veterans Day event, Navy veteran and psychiatrist Stephen Salzbrenner, MD, an assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Psychiatry, will share insights about military and civilian psychiatric care and explain mental health struggles often experienced by veterans.
Resources for various levels of care, specialized veteran services and caregiver support resources also will be shared by Celeste Akers, lead community services technician with Behavioral Health Connection at Nebraska Medicine Psychiatry.
The discussion will be today (Nov. 11) from noon-1 p.m. in Poynter Hall, Conference Room 4002.
