International Health Design Thinking Conference set for Oct. 24-26

Registration for the Inaugural International Health Design Thinking Conference is available.

The conference is hosted by the International Society of Health Design Thinking (INSIGHT) and the Design Thinking team at UNMC, which includes UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD.

The conference will begin on Oct. 24 with a reception at Kiewit Luminarium and is included in the registration. Education sessions occur on Oct. 25 at the Truhlsen Event Center, followed by the first INSIGHT business meeting and various campus tours on Oct. 26.

The event aims to promote health design thinking to members of the health care team, including engineers, designers, technology specialists, public health professionals and health care innovators.

Outcomes for the conference include discussions of design thinking principles, networking and collaboration between health care professionals and community members, identifying skills and trends to implement at individuals’ practices and encouraging research, scholarship and the integration of design thinking.

Registration is $20 for students and $200 otherwise. A 25% discount for employees of UNMC and Nebraska Medicine is offered, and cost center payment options are available. Registration ends Oct. 18.
