Jeanne Reigle, a candidate for Nebraska Legislature in District 19 (which includes Madison County and and southernmost part of Pierce County), visited UNMC for a tour on Sept. 30.
Reigle toured UNMC’s Davis Global Center and the iEXCEL health care simulation program, led by iEXCEL’s Moriah McCune, community engagement coordinator. The tour highlighted the training opportunities at the facility, including the interactive digital iWall technology, the holographic theater and surgical and clinical simulation spaces.
Reigle said she appreciates the potential in bringing a program of this caliber to Nebraska.
“I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the work that goes on here,” she said. “I think it is an investment in the future – to keep more of our youth in Nebraska and staying involved in health care.”
