How I fell in love with emergency medicine: Before medical school, I was drawn to public and global health, where systemic changes impact large populations. My passion for emergency medicine stems from its wide-ranging patient encounters and collaborative environment. I aim to enhance community health outcomes by working with diverse specialists towards shared goals. Currently, as a fellow with the health security team, I focus on bio-preparedness, conducting research and developing systems to better prepare communities for future disasters.
Degrees:
- MD and emergency medicine residency, UNMC
- Emergency medical services fellowship, University of Utah
Memberships:
- American College of Emergency Physicians
- National Association of EMS Physicians
Three things people may not know about me:
- I am left-handed when it comes to writing, but I have mixed dominance, meaning my dominant hand varies depending on the task.
- I love nature and being outside. During my time off, I like to go hiking, biking, skiing and birding.
- My favorite food is seafood. I’d eat king crab every day if my wallet could handle it.
We are very excited to have you here on campus Dr. Wadman!
Great to know you are back at UNMC! You do remember, though, that we don’t have any mountains here, right?
