How I fell in love with my specialty: I was always drawn to the health care field but was not initially sure what area of health care I wanted to go into. Back in high school, I was offered a job at my local Hy-Vee pharmacy, and I ended up loving the job and the people I worked with. During my time in this job, I realized that pharmacists have a huge impact on patients and health care as a whole. A career in pharmacy offers a wide variety of opportunities, spanning community pharmacy, ambulatory care, hospital, acute care, industry, research, academia and beyond. There is so much to explore in this career while also having a positive impact on patients and the community.

Three things people may not know about me:
- I bungee jumped off a cliff in New Zealand.
- The car I drove in high school/college was older than me (1992 Dodge Daytona).
- I have traveled to several international locations. My favorite was Switzerland, and Morocco most unique.
