Faculty and students who are interested in developing the next series of e-learning modules are invited to attend the online informational meeting on Friday, Sept. 13, at noon.

Register for the session here.

Program participants identify a topic to incorporate into a course’s curriculum that focuses on challenging or foundational content that would benefit from a more in-depth explanation. Each e-learning team includes two to four students led by faculty and will receive $1,000 for project creation or student stipends, as well as access to e-learning experts, equipment and software. Faculty provide the content expertise, and student participants develop the multimedia that makes the content memorable.

Peggy Moore, director of e-learning and assistant professor in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions, said the collaboration between student developers and faculty members has been incredibly successful in creating interactive modules that enhance student learning and make content easier to understand.

Student participants find their experience in the program to be highly valuable as they apply for residency or take the next step in their health care career, Moore said.

Each project will be published on the E-Gallery, and participants will be recognized at the E-Learning Showcase in April 2025.

The deadline to apply for the program is Oct. 13 at 11:59 p.m. Award winners will be notified before Nov. 6, and projects must be completed by April 2.
