Nebraska Medicine is hosting a new in-person event series known as Advancing Health | Talk, where anyone in the community can learn about a variety of medical topics.
The first event focuses on cataract surgery and is designed to help people understand the entire process, from diagnosis to recovery. Approximately 3.5 million cataract surgeries are performed in the U.S. every year, making it one of the most common surgeries.
Brian Armstrong, MD, director of cornea and refractive surgery with Nebraska Medicine and an associate professor in the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, will give attendees an in-depth look at the various cataract surgery options available to patients at Truhlsen Eye Institute.
This event is aimed at anyone looking to learn more about cataracts, treatment options and what to expect during and after surgery.
