Desinee Drakulich, OD, will present “The Effects of Female Hormones on the Eye Throughout the Life Cycle of a Woman” at the next Olson Center Brown Bag.
This talk will offer a comprehensive overview of the life cycle of hormonal changes in women and how these fluctuating hormones effect the eye. The discussion by Dr. Drakulich, an assistant professor in the UNMC Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and an optometrist at Truhlsen Eye Institute, will focus on three major points in a women’s life: menstrual cycle, pregnancy and menopause.
