What do you wish someone had told you when you were an incoming student?
I wish someone had told me how quickly the time passes. I’ve come to realize how important it is to live in the moment and cherish the memories made, during medical school and life in general.
As a fourth-year student, when you see the new students arriving for their white coats, how does that make you feel?
It makes me feel grateful for how far I’ve come and for the opportunities I’ve been granted at this institution. I’m excited to see these new students who are eager to learn and begin their medical training. I look forward to working with and learning from them as I continue to advance in my own training.
And how do you feel about your own experience, now that you are so close to your goal?
It’s been an excellent experience that has helped me grow as a future physician, both in terms of medical knowledge and clinical skills. It has also contributed significantly to my personal development and allowed me to forge lasting friendships that I will cherish throughout my life. The combination of these skills, experiences, and relationships is what has made this journey so special to me.
Three things people may not know about me:
- I enjoy both playing and watching tennis. Attending all four Grand Slam tournaments is on my bucket list!
- I am a fan of all forms of rock music. I attended a Breaking Benjamin concert this past Spring and will be attending a Sabaton concert in September!
- I have two pet cats named Belle (aka Puddy) and Cleopatra. They are 18 and 16 years old, respectively.
