New Nebraska Medicine Immediate Care Clinic coming soon

Fontenelle Health Center

Nebraska Medicine is expanding its footprint in the North Omaha community with the launch of a sixth Immediate Care Clinic, located at Fontenelle Health Center.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 5, Fontenelle will begin offering walk-in immediate care for patients six months and older on nights, weekends and holidays. These services are in addition to the primary care that is available by appointment during regular business hours.

“Increasing patient access to care is a critical part of our mission, which is why we are so excited to expand our Immediate Care Clinics to include the Fontenelle Health Center,” said Kevin Borges, clinic manager.

Immediate care will be offered:

  • Monday through Friday from 6 to 9:45 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.
  • Holidays from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

“Opening this location is fulfilling our commitment to the North Omaha community to provide access to the extraordinary health care that our teams provide,” said Robbe Peetz, director, ambulatory clinics. “As a provider in the ICC myself, I am proud to be able to deliver care to our patients and expand our footprint. I would like to thank Clinic Manager Kevin Borges, Ambulatory Supervisor Stevie Duffield and Clinic Operations Lead Liz LaBille, who have worked to prepare the opening of the clinic.”

The clinic will treat a variety of illnesses and injuries, including coughs, colds, sore throats, earaches, abdominal pain, minor cuts and sprains.

This expansion builds on Nebraska Medicine’s persistent and focused efforts last fiscal year that helped stabilize its ICC operations. In June, all ICC locations were open 100% of their normal hours.
