The UNMC Ice Rink will be closed off starting Thursday, May 30, as construction proceeds on the ice rink canopy project. The closure is expected to last until Aug. 2.
The work will include digging and pouring footings, underground electrical, resurfacing of the rubber matting around the ice rink, new handrails and new paving.
Later, starting around the beginning of September, work to install the canopy framing is scheduled to take place before the winter ice skating season.
