Webinar to discuss nutritional needs in breastfeeding

Laura Wilwerding, MD, will present “Nutritional Needs of Breastfed Babies from Birth to Weaning” on Tuesday, April 9, at noon via Zoom. This webinar is part of the Olson Center for Women’s Health and UNMC College of Nursing webinar series. 

Dr. Wilwerding, an adjunct professor of pediatrics at UNMC, will discuss supplement consideration and needs during the breastfeeding period, clarify appropriate first complementary foods based on nutritional needs and developments and review the balance of breastfeeding and solids after one year and when in-process of fully weaning.
