New nursing challenges available for annual giving day

Staff, faculty, students, alumni and friends are invited to support the UNMC College of Nursing during UNMC and Nebraska Medicine’s second annual For the Greater Good giving day.

For the Greater Good kicks off at noon on March 27 and closes at noon on March 28. Throughout the 24-hour day of giving, donors can give to the UNMC College of Nursing as a whole or select a variety of specific funds within the College of Nursing. Along with the College of Nursing Innovation Fund, scholarships, research and faculty and staff support funds are being showcased. Donations can be made on the website.

This year, all donations specified for the College of Nursing funds will contribute towards three donor challenges, which are:

The Karen and James Linder, MD, Challenge: If 250 donors give to any area in the College of Nursing, $250,000 will be unlocked for the Mary Ann Linder Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund.

Sharon Bonham Holyoke Challenge: Once $25,000 is raised for the College of Nursing, $25,000 will be unlocked toward nursing scholarships.

Bonnie K. Black Challenge: If 50 donors give to the College of Nursing, $2,000 will be unlocked for the College of Nursing Innovation Fund.

Visit the For the Greater Good website for more information on how to support the UNMC College of Nursing and UNMC.
