As seen on campus: The blanket of winter

A winter sunset just south of the Durham Research Center

The cold snap may have broken, but winter has settled over the UNMC Omaha campus. UNMC photographer Kent Sievers recently took a photo stroll through the winter weather to capture some of the images around campus.

A pedestrian walks past the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine sign at 42nd and Leavenworth streets.
A fair amount of vehicular traffic always flows through campus, including at the Durham Outpatient Center.

With all of the skywalks on campus, as with the Emile Street skywalk here, it’s often easy to avoid the winter conditions.
From another perspective on the Emile Street skywalk, the evening sun illuminates the Lied Transplant Center.
