UNMC IT Academic Technologies will hold two training sessions as it introduces the YuJa academic video platform to UNMC’s educational toolkit.
To ensure that faculty and staff can maximize the benefits of YuJa, IT Academic Technologies is offering the comprehensive training sessions via Zoom.
An Introduction to YuJa session will be offered from noon-1 p.m. CT on Jan. 31. For those who have taken the YuJa basics course, a YuJa Advanced course will be offered on Feb. 8, from noon-1 p.m.
YuJa is distinct from Echo 360, and each platform comes with its own unique set of features.
Echo 360 is the go-to platform for prescheduled lecture captures, video creation and engagement. YuJa is not replacing Echo 360 but is another option available. For a detailed comparison of the two video platforms, refer to this chart.
To access YuJa, there are three options:
- Access YuJa through your Canvas course.
- Use this link to log in through the YuJa website.
- Visit the UNMC Appstore.
For those looking to install the YuJa software capture application, follow these steps:
- In Windows, go to the “Type here to search” box, type “software center” and click on “YuJa Software capture” to install the application.
- For a Mac, follow these instructions Installing Software Capture for Apple Application.
IT Academic Technologies is looking forward to helping users make the most of this addition to UNMC’s educational technology offerings.
