Cleanup at Hanscom Park

A group of first-year students in the UNMC College of Medicine held a community cleanup event at Hanscom Park the weekend of Nov. 11.

Student Tristan Caffrey said 13 students participated and picked up about a half-dozen garbage bags of trash and debris from the park. Caffrey said the cleanup event was a nice break from medical school studies and just one of the ways that UNMC students make a difference in the Omaha community.
