Faculty, staff and students are invited to UNMC’s all-campus hybrid forum on Thursday, Dec. 7.

UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, will be joined by Joann Sweasy, PhD, director of the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases and the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

The forum will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the Sorrell Center, Room 2018, and also via Zoom. The link will be available on the campus intranet prior to the forum.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the new director and learn more about her initial weeks on campus, along with her goals and vision for the Eppley Institute and cancer center. Dr. Sweasy joined UNMC Nov. 1 after serving as director of the University of Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson.

Forum attendees also will be able to ask questions and hear campus updates that span the university’s budget and construction-related projects.

An American Sign Language interpreter will take part in the event.

To ask a question in advance of the forum, email the UNMC Strategic Communications team.
