The UNMC Employee Giving Committee will draw prize winners today (Nov. 17) at 3 p.m. for the second week of the campaign.
This week’s prizes include:
- Two $25 Visa gift cards;
- One $50 Visa gift card; and
- UNMC/United Way Swag
UNMC employees who pledge a minimum of $15 total will be eligible for the prizes listed above. Information on how to donate is listed below. After employees pledge, they are entered in all weekly drawings. Winners will be notified via email.
The running totals:
As of Thursday, UNMC achieved:
- Donations of $55,776
- Employee participation of 7%.
To participate:
See these instructions for more details on donating. For additional security purposes, a few changes have been made since last year’s campaign.
United Way of the Midlands:
- Click on this link. The link will lead to a single UNMC sign-in page.
- Employees can sign in with their UNMC username and password. These should auto populate.
- Once signed in, the employee will be directed to a personalized giving page.
- Donate.
- A “no pledge” option is available for employees who choose not to donate. Employees who are unable to contribute still are encouraged to access the ePledge website and submit a “no donation” response. A “no donation” response counts toward total employee participation. After an employee has submitted a donation or no donation response, United Way will no longer send additional giving emails this month.
Give Nebraska:
- Click on this link. The link will lead to UNMC’s Give Nebraska donation page.
- Register and donate.
Employees can give by credit card on the online giving site, as well as through payroll deduction, cash or check. Campaign pledges, which can be made through UNMC’s payroll deduction, are automatically withdrawn from the last check in December 2023 for biweekly paid employees and January 2024 for employees paid monthly.
This week’s highlighted organization: Give Nebraska (formerly Community Services Fund of Nebraska)
What is Give Nebraska and how are they different from other giving agencies?
Give Nebraska, formerly Community Services Fund of Nebraska, is a federation of nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life in Nebraska and exists to connect donors to the causes they care about most.
“Give Nebraska strongly believe in empowering donors to make independent decisions about their philanthropy,” said Melissa Filipi, Give Nebraska executive director. “Donors have the option — no matter the size of their gift — to designate their donation dollars to more than 70 different statewide agencies.”
A list of Give Nebraska supported agencies can be found here.
This year, those who donate $120 or more will be eligible for a free Give Nebraska T-shirt (while supplies last). These will be shipped by the Give Nebraska team.
