Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence team aims to increase awareness
Pancreatic cancer is the world’s toughest cancer. But the team from the Nebraska Medicine/UNMC Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence is unified in the fight against it.
In recognition of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and World Pancreatic Cancer Day in November, they donned purple shirts to show support for patients and families fighting the deadly disease. The center’s goal is to transform what is considered state-of-the-art in the early detection, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of pancreas cancer.
Because early pancreatic cancer does not cause symptoms, it frequently is diagnosed in later stages.
For more information, see the Pancreatic Cancer Center of Excellence website.

PDF issues with SharePoint
Many users have reported to UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Information Technology that they can’t open PDFs when accessing them through SharePoint.
IT has investigated the issue and identified a workaround. Adobe is using outdated protocols, which cause the PDF documents to malfunction when opened through SharePoint.
This article, “PDFs not opening in SharePoint,” is available through ServiceNow and outlines a workaround.
