Faculty, staff and students are invited to UNMC’s all-campus forum today (Oct. 19).
UNMC Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, will be joined online by Anne Barnes, UNMC’s vice chancellor for business, finance and business development, and the new UNMC College of Dentistry Dean Gerard “Gerry” Kugel, DMD, PhD.
The forum will be from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. The link will be available on the campus intranet prior to the forum.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the new dentistry dean and learn more about his initial weeks on campus, along with his goals and vision for the college.
In addition, participants will hear construction updates related to the University of Nebraska at Kearney-UNMC Rural Health Education Building; the CORE Building planned near Omaha’s Saddle Creek Road and Farnam Street; and Project Health: Building the Healthiest Nebraska, which is the first phase of Project NExT.
Leadership will provide zero-based budget and AI task force updates, highlight the upcoming NU benefits enrollment period and take questions from the audience.
An American Sign Language interpreter will take part in the event.
