Bill O'Neill

O’Neill, Busboom selected for Leadership Omaha class

The Greater Omaha Chamber has announced members of its Leadership Omaha Class 46, which will include Bill O’Neill, executive director for UNMC Strategic Communications, and Tyler Busboom, director of facilities operations at Nebraska Medicine.

Members were announced recently following a rigorous selection process and continue a 46-year tradition of cohort-based leadership development. As in the past, this year’s class was selected by a committee of Leadership Omaha alumni and chamber board members. All honorees demonstrated strong community involvement and a compelling vision for the future of Omaha.

The class will spend the next 10 months focusing on community trusteeship, community awareness and leadership styles, ultimately joining a network of more than 1,900 Leadership Omaha alumni.

Work scheduled in Parking Lot 2

Ten parking stalls will be closed on levels A, B and C of Parking Lot 2 as contractors install bracing and form work for a new support.

Located at the corner of Emile Street and 45th Street, Lot 2 is commonly known as the Green Patient and Visitor Parking Structure.

Beginning on Thursday, Aug. 31, concrete will be poured for the support. Also on that day, levels D and E will be closed to allow the concrete to cure without vehicle traffic to disrupt the concrete curing. Levels D and E will reopen on Sept. 5.

Final clean-up will be completed by Sept. 7.

Work to paint the new support will take place Sunday, Sept. 17.
