The concrete walkway at the east side of the Wittson Hall-Poynter Hall skywalk will be closed for construction starting Monday, Aug. 14.
Signage will be in place to redirect foot traffic in the courtyard to the west for exiting out to 42nd Street via the Healing Hands Garden.
Then on Tuesday, Aug. 15, related construction work will begin along 42nd Street in the area. For that work, the southbound vehicle lane at 42nd Street will be rerouted through the turn lane, and the west sidewalk in the area will be closed.
A concrete ramp that was used to haul materials for into the courtyard will be removed.
All closed areas are expected to be reopened for use by Sept. 6.
