The UNMC seventh Annual Graduate Medical Education Research Symposium will be held on April 29 from 3-6 p.m. in the Sorrell Center’s Truhlsen Events Center.
“This is another exciting opportunity to showcase the excellent research of our residents and fellows,” said Chandra Are, MBBS, the UNMC College of Medicine’s senior associate dean of graduate medical education.
See the symposium program brochure at this link.
The symposium will provide the opportunity for house officers from UNMC and CHI to present their research in all avenues, including clinical outcomes, basic science, education, business, health policy and humanities. Dr. Are said more than 130 research abstracts – in both oral and poster formats – will be presented at the event, 60 more than when the symposium first premiered in 2018.
UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, and UNMC College of Medicine Dean Bradley Britigan, MD, will provide opening remarks for the event.
“It is nice to be able to hold these events,” Dr. Are said. “All members of the UNMC and CHI community are invited to attend and show support to the residents and fellows.
“Our house officers are involved in impactful research projects and studies that can change and improve patient care in real-time. We are pleased to have the opportunity once again to come together in person to share their impactful work.”
