E-Learning Showcase highlights interactive digital education

A demonstration from last year's E-Learning Showcase

The 2025 Innovators in Education E-Learning Showcase will take place Thursday, April 10, in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center. The event, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., is open to all UNMC faculty, students and staff.

This year’s showcase will highlight the most recent projects funded through the UNMC Office of Academic Affairs and feature 13 teams, with individuals from five colleges, UNMC Graduate Studies, the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute and four campuses.

During the showcase, attendees will see live demonstrations of the latest e-learning projects and network with faculty and student developers. The open house format returns this year, with all projects being demonstrated from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the recognition ceremony and keynote presentation.

“This year’s e-learning modules represent the latest health science education from UNMC faculty and students,” said Peggy Moore, director of UNMC Interactive E-Learning and assistant professor in UNMC College of Allied Health Professions. “From the biomechanics of the foot and ankle to showing how opioids impact neural pathways, these projects demonstrate how interactive and engaging content enhances learning to prepare future health science professionals for real-world scenarios.”

The schedule for the showcase is:

  • 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Demonstrations of e-learning projects (all projects)
  • 1-2 p.m.: Recognition ceremony and keynote presentation, “E-Learning in Action: How We Built, Integrated and Innovated,” by Stacie Christensen, DPT, and Megan Frazee, DPT, both assistant professors of physical therapy in the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions.

RSVP to attend the showcase on April 10.
