IAE celebrates education research, support staff March 26

The UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators is holding a Spotlight on Scholarship event, where a variety of health sciences education research will be highlighted.

The event will be Wednesday, March 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Davis Global Center, first floor. Register now for the in-person event.

This event will feature a live project presentation led by UNMC faculty and staff. This year’s featured presentation is:

  • Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Diagnosis of Oral Lesions: A Pilot Study
    The research team includes Nagamani Narayana, DMD, professor in the UNMC College of Dentistry, and Peggy Moore and Steph Langel of the UNMC Office of Interactive E-Learning.

This year’s Spotlight on Scholarship will highlight poster presentations covering a range of education topics, from applications of artificial intelligence in clinical applications to simulating vascular emergencies in robotic surgery. All projects can be viewed on DigitalCommons@UNMC on the Spotlight on Scholarship 2025 page.

Additionally, the event will include the presentation of the 2025 Catalyst for Education Award. Now in its ninth year, the award recognizes UNMC staff members in educational support roles who are vital to the success of UNMC’s educational mission, promote a premier environment and ensure success of all trainees.
