Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi joins the College of Dentistry

Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi

Dr. Gandhi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Growth & Development. He is an accomplished orthodontist, educator, and researcher with a strong background in clinical orthodontics and academic leadership.

Born and raised in Ahmedabad, India, his professional journey has taken him across multiple countries, contributing to both clinical practice and higher education. Dr. Gandhi earned his dental and orthodontic degrees from Gujarat University in India, followed by advanced specialized training in orthodontics and a second master’s degree from the University of Louisville.

He has held academic positions as a senior lecturer at a dental school in India and as a clinical and research instructor at the University of Connecticut. His academic engagements have fostered a strong commitment to mentoring and training the next generation of orthodontists.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Dr. Gandhi upholds the highest standards of evidence-based orthodontics. His research focuses on orthodontic biomechanics, temporary anchorage devices, CBCT applications in orthodontics, finite element analysis, and salivary biomarkers. He has authored over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at national and international conferences.
