Raymond “Ray” Wayne Bieber passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 93. He earned his PhD from Colorado State University and later returned to Lincoln to study cell biology at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Dr. Bieber taught cell biology at the UNMC College of Dentistry for many years until his retirement. He was widely respected as an exceptional teacher and mentor.
