UNMC Administrative Professionals Day is April 23

UNMC will recognize its administrative professionals on April 23 with a celebration of their contributions and achievements. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Thrive in ’25,” focusing on eight areas of wellness. The event, hosted by UNMC Human Resources, will feature a UNMC Shark Tank competition, wellness expo, giveaways and a swag swap.

All UNMC administrative professionals have the option to attend in-person or virtually. The in-person session will be held in the Truhlsen Events Center, and the virtual session will be held via Zoom. The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In-person seating is limited, so attendees should sign up early. Prize drawings will be held for those attending in-person and online.

Registration is required to attend either session. Sign up via the Bridge app – search for Administrative Professionals Day Thrive in 25. Be sure to choose the in-person or virtual option. Registration closes April 4.

“The positive effect that recognition has on a person is immeasurable,” said Michael Skocz, office associate at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and member of 2025 Administrative Professionals Day Committee. “I always look forward to this day as a chance to relax, network with my fellow admins and be thanked.”

UNMC Shark Tank will feature sharks from UNMC with real funding. Submit a shark tank idea to benefit administrative professionals here. A sample idea is included in the application; further develop the sample idea or present an entirely new idea.

The wellness expo will include games, dog therapy, vendor booths, mini express facials and hand massages. Spaces for mini express facials and hand massages are limited; please complete this form for a chance to be selected.

Administrative Professionals Day also will feature swag swap, an idea submitted by program associate Lori Cooley. Administrative professionals can exchange UNMC-branded merchandise, company gifts or promotional items. Participants will need to complete this form and list the items they will provide.

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Those interested in volunteering are asked to complete this form.
