MMI team touches lives through volunteer event

A team from the Munroe-Meyer Institute volunteered at Food Bank for the Heartland last month, touching the lives of more than 1,700 families in need.

The group, from MMI’s Department of Education and Child Development, demonstrated collaborative spirit, helping to make the outing particularly impactful, said Kerry Miller, PhD, associate director of the department. One of the tasks was packaging pasta.

Dr. Miller said the team of 26 represented MMI in a positive light.

“I couldn’t be more proud of what we accomplished together,” she said. “Your efforts not only made a tangible difference in the community, but they also showed the strength of our team.”
