New One Chart service catalog requests in ServiceNow

UNMC emblem

Information Technology is announcing two new service catalog requests in ServiceNow, designed to streamline the process of managing access to One Chart.

Additional One Chart Access

  • This request is intended for use when an employee requires different or additional access to One Chart, without a change in their job role.
  • This new request eliminates the need to enter access changes using the new/transfer user request.

Terminate One Chart Access

  • This request should be used when an employee no longer needs access to One Chart.
  • Please note that this request is not necessary for employees who are terminated in Workday or SAP, as their access will be automatically removed. The exception is for physicians and APPs who are leaving the organization, to ensure their results routing can be updated accordingly.

These new catalog items do not impact how requests are made for new and transfer users. Those will continue to be requested using the IT Services for New/Transfer User catalog.

How to use the new catalog requests

  1. Access these requests from the homepage of the ServiceNow portal. Type in either “Additional One Chart Access” or “Terminate One Chart Access” in the search field to bring up the correct catalog item.

2. Fill out the variable fields within the form and then select Order Now. (Choose Add to Cart for additional requests to submit or Save as Draft to return later.)

  1. Tasks will be created for IT teams to complete the access request or termination.
  2. Check up on the status of a request at any time from the ServiceNow portal by selecting the “My Requests” tab at the top of the screen.
