UNMC awarded nearly 400 degrees across its commencement ceremonies for winter 2024. The Omaha graduation ceremony was held Friday, Dec. 20, at Baxter Arena.

UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, told the graduates that the ceremony offered an opportunity to honor the graduates’ achievements and perseverance.
“Go forth and change the world, class of 2024, and congratulations to each one of you,” he said.
Vicki Hamm was honored with the J.G. Elliott Award for her decades of service to her fellow Nebraskans, notably in the areas of health care, educational opportunity and community health. For nearly 50 years, Hamm served as the expert on graduate medical education at UNMC.Jeffrey P.
