The UNMC Ice Rink will host its ninth annual Holiday Skate Day for UNMC students and employees today (Dec. 13) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Strap on some skates, do a few laps around the rink to the tune of favorite holiday classics and enjoy hot chocolate and snacks (while supplies last).
In addition to the skate day, a donation drive for the Nebraska Medicine pediatric patient unit will take place as a part of De-Stress Week. Those who provide a new donation valued at $10 or more at the event can receive a fleece earband featuring UNMC’s mascot, Ellie. Fleece earbands are available while supplies last.
Ice rink admission is free for all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees and students with a valid ID badge.
The UNMC Ice Rink, which is open to the public, will remain open through Feb. 2.
Hours of operation are:
- Mondays and Thursdays: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
