Looking to rent items for your department such as podium banners, tablecloths, or easels? Need a logo or template downloaded?
Reach out to UNMC’s Brand Wise team before Dec. 19. No brand rentals, design or logo requests will be available from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3 because of the holidays.

Retirements
UNMC Human Resources has announced two retirements in December.
Sandra Overman of the department of public safety, retired Dec. 3 after more than 44 years at UNMC. She joined the university on May 5, 1980.
Peggy Whitsell of the Munroe-Meyer Institute’s patient information office will retire Dec. 14. She joined the university on Jan. 20, 2003.

Nominate for the NU President’s Excellence Awards
Nominations are due Jan. 10 for the University of Nebraska System’s President’s Excellence Awards.
These awards are the university’s highest honors for faculty innovation, outstanding research, outstanding faculty teaching, outstanding teaching by a department, engagement and contributions to student success.
Individual winners are awarded $10,000 each, a presidential medallion and an engraved plaque. The departmental or team winner receives $25,000 to support its instructional mission. All winners, who are chosen by panels of their peers, are honored at the summer NU Board of Regents meeting.

NU programs eligible for WIN grants
Women Investing in Nebraska is accepting funding ideas for its 2025 grant awards. University of Nebraska programs and Nebraska nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply.
Grants are awarded based on the critical needs being addressed, the people who the project serves and the impact made on Nebraskans. Grant seekers must submit an online letter of inquiry by Feb. 6 at this link.
Based on submissions, WIN will invite 12 to 16 grant seekers to provide formal grant proposals. Grant seekers must be a part of the University of Nebraska System or be a Nebraska nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity.
