Register for February 2025 fit testing

An N95 respirator

Anyone whose job with Nebraska Medicine requires them to be fit tested can sign up for a session today.

Colleagues whose job description requires them to be fitted to an N95 respirator must complete an annual respirator fit test in 2025, per OSHA standards.

Once again, annual respirator fit testing for UNMC and Nebraska Medicine employees will be provided by Mobile Health Diagnostics and Employee Health, depending on the employee’s location.

  • Mobile Health Diagnostics will fit Nebraska Medicine colleagues and those who are dually employed by both Nebraska Medicine and UNMC.
  • Nebraska Medicine Employee Health will fit all UNMC colleagues and selected departments whose leadership has been notified and provided with scheduling instructions via email.

Mobile Health Diagnostics will provide annual N95 fit testing on-site in February and August 2025.

  • Complete the following paperwork to bring with to the appointment. Colleagues who cannot print and complete these forms in advance should arrive 10 minutes early to their appointment to complete them on-site.

Important reminders

  • Fit testing is reserved for Nebraska Medicine and UNMC employees only. Contracted staff must continue completing any fit testing requirements through their contracting agency.
  • Colleagues must be clean-shaven where the N95 respirator seals to the face, as shown in this chart: Facial Hairstyles and Filtering Face Piece Respirators. Attendees will be required to reschedule if they are unable to attend clean-shaven per OSHA Standard 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A).
  • Colleagues should arrive at their appointment on time. Colleagues with an appointment who are unable to arrive on time should anticipate having to wait until they can be worked in or have to reschedule. Colleagues unable to make their scheduled appointment should withdraw from their session within Apollo to allow another colleague to schedule.
  • Colleagues who walk in for an appointment will not be accommodated unless an open appointment is available.
  • Colleagues can review the Respirator Fit Testing Frequently Asked Questions document for additional guidance.
