Editor’s note: Due to a power outage at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Dodge Campus, the Nebraska Medical Orchestra & Choir concert scheduled for tonight at 7:30 p.m. has been cancelled. The performance will be rescheduled to Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at UNO’s Strauss Performing Arts Center.

Usher in the holidays with a holiday concert by the Nebraska Medical Orchestra and Choir.

The annual musical celebration features the musicians of UNMC, Nebraska Medicine, Children’s Nebraska, Clarkson College, Creighton University and other health care organizations. In its seventh year, the Nebraska Medical Orchestra and Choir will perform new and familiar works, culminating with a special holiday surprise.

UNMC’s William Schleifer, MD, will be a featured soloist, performing a movement of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A Minor.

The performance will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Strauss Performing Arts Center, Jan & John Christensen Concert Hall.

All guests are welcome. Tickets are offered for a “choose your own ticket price” from $0 and up.
