You won’t “be-leaf” the events that UNMC community partners are offering this holiday season.

The Durham Museum

From “Game of Thrones” to “How to Train Your Dragon” and more, dragons have a magical mystique. At The Durham Museum’s exhibit “The Lost World of Dragons,” visitors will enjoy a unique and interactive experience that will breathe new fire into their imagination. Explore the lore and history of dragons in nearly every region and culture, from Norway to China.

The Durham Museum provides free museum admission for UNMC faculty, staff, students and their immediate family with a valid identification badge.

Fontenelle Forest

Adventurous night owls looking to explore new trails can visit Fontenelle Forest for an opportunity to see the forest at night, learn about nocturnal creatures who call the forest home, all while exploring the forest trails. This hike is geared toward intermediate to experienced hikers and will traverse at least two miles of moderate to difficult terrain. See this link for Twilight Trekking dates, registration and information.
