2024 Employee Giving: The caring spirit of UNMC

UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD

The 2024 UNMC Employee Giving campaign will begin next week.

Employees will have the opportunity to support their community through two different pathways:

  • United Way of the Midlands, which supports a variety of human-service program providers across the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. United Way-supported programs create life-changing opportunities by meeting the basic needs of the area’s most vulnerable populations, supporting children during their academic years and helping to prepare young people for productive careers. Click here to view a list of supported programs.
  • Give Nebraska, which connects donors to the causes they care about most. With more than 70 non-profit agencies to choose from, donors can determine where their money goes. A list of supported agencies can be found here.

Why give?

When:

  • The campaign begins Monday, Nov. 4, and runs through Friday, Nov. 22.

How to give:

  • United Way of the Midlands: On Monday, Nov. 4, employees will receive an email from United Way of the Midlands (epledge@uwmidlands.org) that walks them through the donation process. Individuals already familiar with the process can use the link provided in that day’s UNMC Today story.
  • Give Nebraska: Employees can click on the link provided in the UNMC Today story on Monday, Nov. 4.

Incentives for 2024:

UNMC has a 50% employee participation goal this year. To help meet the campus goal, incentives are being offered.

  • Those who pledge at least $20 total will be eligible to win a prize each week of the campaign. Donations made by Fridays at 3 p.m. qualify for that week’s drawing, as well as subsequent drawings.
  • The earlier the donation, the better the chance at winning.
  • Drawing winners will be notified via email.
