Jaime Kobs named to leadership role at Village Pointe Health Center

Nurse anesthetist Jaime Kobs, was appointed associate director of nurse anesthetists at Village Pointe Health Center, replacing Ann Donnelly-Haasch.  Donnelly-Haasch has been with UNMC and Nebraska Medicine for more than 25 years.

Tiffany Olson, division chief of nurse anesthesia, thanked Donnelly-Haasch for the hard work and effort she has poured into this position over the years and for her mentorship to help Kobs transition into the role successfully.

Kobs will serve as the CRNA leader for the Village Pointe campuses Outpatient Surgery Center at Village Pointe and the Gastroenterology at Village Pointe Health Center, as well as for main campus GI services, and she will collaborate with medical director Andrew Maresch, MD.

Kobs has been a CRNA with the UNMC department for nine years and has been with Nebraska Medicine for 18 years. She has served as a co-chair of the education committee and has been integral, department leaders say, serving as an advocate and mentor for student registered nurse anesthetists, providing guidance in their growth, development and conduct.

Kobs has also been involved with the newly established Unit Based Council to address CRNA pulse surveys and look for innovative ways to bring about positive change within the CRNA group. In addition to this, she has spearheaded her own personal development and growth as a leader as she continues work towards obtaining her MBA and recently completed the Nebraska Medicine Aspire leadership program.

“We look forward to the perspective and leadership skills that Jaime will bring to this role and the continued growth and mentorship she will experience serving in this position,” Olson said.
