Sarah Centineo, a legislative candidate for District 45, toured the medical center in September.
Centineo met with UNMC Interim Chancellor Dele Davies, MD, and toured the iEXCEL program, including the advanced clinical simulation floor and the holographic theater, with iEXCEL’s Moriah McCune.
Centineo, who is running in a district that includes Bellevue and a portion of Sarpy County, said UNMC is important to Nebraska.
“UNMC is a vital part of being able to help Nebraska move forward, and not only just in terms of health care access and outcomes,” she said. “Look at the COVID pandemic and all the capabilities that UNMC has brought to the state to handle global health issues. We are a leader in that, and that is a huge, huge win. It’s something we need to support.”
