Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the #WeAreUNMC BBQ from 3:30-6 p.m. today (Aug. 28) at the UNMC Center for Healthy Living activity courts. Please note that the event has been moved inside from the Ruth & Bill Scott Student Plaza. UNMC IDs will be required to attend the event.
Everyone in attendance is encouraged to show their campus spirit by wearing UNMC or Ellie the Lab attire.
Enjoy free food (while supplies last), music and backyard games. This year’s menu items will be a pulled BBQ beef sandwich, veggie burger, pulled Memphis BBQ chicken sandwich and a halal option featuring a chicken and vegetable kabob served over rice. Sides and a drink will be provided.
The food stations will be provided by Sodexo, and music will be provided by AK Productions.
Each year, the UNMC Office of Sustainability strives to make this event a zero-waste success, ensuring that 90% of the waste generated is diverted from landfills. This year, the office aims to surpass last year’s diversion rate of 74%.
