On Wednesday, Aug. 14, some University Tower elevators will be unavailable for a few hours throughout the day as work proceeds to upgrade and install the new Securitas HUGS infant protection system in the labor and delivery unit on level four of University Tower.
The following elevators will be temporarily shut down on Aug. 14 in this order for the following approximate times:
- 6-10 a.m. – University Tower elevator No. 4
- 10 a.m.-noon – University Tower public elevators E1, E2, E3
- During this estimated two-hour window, signage will be placed to direct people to use elevators E6, E7 and E8
- 1-3 p.m. – University Tower service elevators E6, E7, E8
