Dunixi Guereca, candidate for Legislative District 7 (Omaha) in the Nebraska Legislature, visited UNMC in July.
Guereca met with UNMC leadership, including Vice Chancellor for External Affairs Chris Kratochvil, MD, and toured the iEXCEL program and the Davis Global Center, Wigton Heritage Center and McGoogan Health Sciences Library.
Guereca said he was excited to visit UNMC.
“UNMC really is a source of pride, not just for the city of Omaha, but for the entire state of Nebraska,” he said.
“As someone who might be in a position of leadership, I want to understand what you are doing here, what your needs are and how I could be an ally and of service if elected as a legislator.”
