Legislative candidate Dan Quick tours UNMC

Dan Quick toured the McGoogan Health Sciences Library as part of his visit to UNMC.

Editor’s note: UNMC writes a brief article on each candidate for office who has an official visit to campus before Nov. 1. If you are a candidate and wish to visit UNMC for a briefing, please contact Jeff Kratz, director of government relations, at jekratz@unmc.edu.

Dan Quick, candidate for Legislative District 35 (Grand Island) in the Nebraska Unicameral, recently visited UNMC.

Quick toured iEXCEL and the Davis Global Center, met with UNMC and Nebraska Medicine leadership, including UNMC interim chancellor Dele Davies, MD, and toured the Wigton Heritage Center and McGoogan Health Sciences Library.

Quick, who served in the legislature previously, enjoyed seeing projects he and his fellow state senators had supported now brought to life.

“I look at it as we are partners with the medical center,” he said.

“Every time I come here there is something new,” he said. “The state of Nebraska can be very proud of what we do here.”
