Sarah Lowman, DDS, MPH, has been named the Associate Dean for Admissions, Recruitment and Engagement at the UNMC College of Dentistry.
Dr. Lowman joined the College of Dentistry in 2020 as the Assistant Dean for Admissions. She has been a dedicated member of the faculty and has demonstrated exemplary service to the College of Dentistry through her involvement in pre-doctoral, advanced standing and graduate program recruitment and admissions.
In addition to her administrative service to the College of Dentistry and UNMC, Dr. Lowman’s teaching and public health activities are valued for their impact on learners and patients in Nebraska and beyond.
Her accomplishments at UNMC have included taking on a leadership role in UNMC’ s Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP), developing and implementing a new admissions scoring rubric, and partnering with the admissions committee on candidate selection. In addition, she spearheaded a student wellness needs assessment and participated in the prestigious American Dental Education Association’s Leadership Institute.
Dr. Lowman’s new role is a testament to the exemplary leadership and commitment to excellence that she has consistently demonstrated.
