The UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators and UNMC Distance Education are seeking abstracts for the second annual InnovatED Symposium on Sept. 11.
The event showcases new innovations in health professions education, including advances in ideas, technology and teaching methods. The deadline for submissions is June 14, and notifications of decisions will be sent in mid-July.
UNMC faculty, staff and students are eligible to submit a proposal for interactive and multi-faceted presentations on innovations that can be easily adapted and implemented by attendees. All presentations will be in person.
Potential topics include quality improvement strategies, technology in education and innovative teaching methods. Submitted abstracts should be no more than 300 words.
The InnovatED Symposium brings together educators, staff and learners from across Nebraska to share novel and innovative teaching approaches, exchange practical strategies to incorporate right away and foster new collaborations with peers. The day-long symposium on Sept. 11 will be held in the Truhlsen Campus Events Center on the Omaha campus.
