The UNMC College of Public Health’s Health Services Research and Administration Department will host a virtual presentation by Elizabeth Summy, regional executive of the American Hospital Association, on Wednesday, May 15, at noon CDT, as the national association recognizes National Hospital Week.

Summy will discuss the opportunity for hospitals and public health to advance stronger health care delivery.

Summy is the American Hospital Association’s Region Six Executive, which represents Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota and South Dakota. As the association’s primary point of contact and representative for hospitals in the region, Summy navigates the region’s health care dynamics, articulates the region’s perspectives and priorities and helps implement initiatives set by the American Hospital Association.

The association represents all types of hospitals and health care networks nationally, along with their patients and communities. Nearly 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks other providers of care and 43,000 individual members form the AHA.

This presentation is open to the UNMC College of Public Health, Nebraska Hospital Association and American College of Healthcare Executives communities. Attend via Zoom.
